1.

The airport is far away from the city and it’s a pretty horrible place. It’s very crowded and there are not many facilities there. You know, like stores or restaurants. Anyway, my flight was okay. It was a bit bumpy, but it left on time. The food was awful, though. It was dry and tasteless. The service was fantastic. The flight attendants did their best to make everyone feel comfortable. The worst problem was the other passengers. The plane was full of loud college students on their way to spring vacation in Florida. Next time I won’t travel during spring break!

2.

It must be one of the best airports in the world. It’s full of stores and restaurants, and they even have a gym and a swimming pool there. The flight was great, too. It was very smooth. The food was so-so. I thought they would serve better food. The service wasn’t good. The flight attendants were really impolite. Next time, I’ll try a different airline, maybe Goldstar Airlines.

3.

The airport is okay I guess. It’s really small, but it’s near the city. The flight was great—nice and smooth. I had my own TV screen and I could choose my own movies. The food was fantastic. It was a spicy meat dish with some very nice vegetables. The only problem was the service. It was very slow because I was sitting right at the back of the plane and it took the flight attendants a long time to reach me. They weren’t very friendly, either. Next time I’ll try to get a seat near the front of the plane.

4.

It isn’t one of my favorite airports, but it’s okay. The airport is always very crowded and it takes a long time to check in and go through immigration. Other than that, it’s all right. The flight was pretty awful. As soon as we took off, we ran into bad weather and it became very bumpy. The food was great. They served a really nice chicken dish. The flight attendants were really nice. I think the next time I fly I’ll check the weather report before I leave. If the weather looks bad along the route, I won’t fly.

這支Say You Say Me 是Lionel Richie的代表作之一,

最早收錄於1986年的專輯Dancing on the Ceiling當中,

(White Nights)

個人專輯「Dancing on the Ceiling」裡面。

Say you, say me   Lionel Richie

Say you, say me (還沒想到怎麼翻)

Say it for always

That's the way it should be

Say you, say me

Say it together naturally

I had a dream

I had an awesome dream

People in the park

Playing games in the dark

And what they played was a masquerade

And from behind of walls of doubt

A voice was crying out

As we go down life's lonesome highway

Seems the hardest thing to do is to find a friend or two

A helping hand - someone who understands

That when you feel you've lost your way

You've got some one there to say I'll show you

So you think you know the answers - Oh no

Cause the whole world has got you dancing

That's right - I'm telling you

It's time to start believing - Oh yes

Believing who you are : You are a shining star

Martina McBride

音樂風格:Contemporary Country(當代鄉村)

Martina McBride

Martina McBride ~ God's Will

I met God's Will on a Halloween night

He was dressed as a bag of leaves

It hid the braces on his legs at first

His smile was as bright as the August sun

When he looked at me

As he struggled down the driveway, it almost

Made me hurt

Will don't walk too good

Will don't talk too good

He won't do the things that the other kids do,

In our neighborhood

I've been searchin', wonderin', thinkin'

Lost and lookin' all my life

I've been wounded, jaded, loved and hated

I've wrestled wrong and right

He was a boy without a father

And his mother's miracle

I've been readin', writin', prayin', fightin'

I guess I would be still

Yeah, that was until

I knew God's Will

Will's mom had to work two jobs

We'd watch him when she had to work late

And we'd all laugh like I hadn't laughed

Since I don't know when

Hey Jude was his favorite song

At dinner he'd ask to pray

And then he'd pray for everybody in the world but him

Before they moved to California

His mother said, they didn't think he'd live

And she said each day that I have him, well it's just

another gift

And I never got to tell her, that the boy

Showed me the truth

In crayon red, on notebook paper, he'd written

Me and God love you

I've been searchin', prayin', wounded, jaded

I guess I would be still

Yeah that was until...

I met God's Will on a Halloween night

He was dressed as a bag of leaves

Robster,

後來Take That解散,團員Mark Owen 和Gary Barlow 各自出了唱片,

Sing When You're Winning的其中一首,

Supreme

Written:R.Williams/G.Chambers/F.Perren/D.Fekaris

Oh it seemed forever stopped today

All the lonely hearts in London

Caught a plane and flew away

And all the best women are married

All the handsome men are gay

You feel deprived

Yeah are you questioning your size?

Is there a tumour in your humour,

Are there bags under your eyes?

Do you leave dents where you sit,

Are you getting on a bit,

Will you survive

You must survive

**When there's no love in town

This new century keeps bringing you down

All the places you have been

Trying to find a love supreme

A love supreme

Oh what are you really looking for?

Another partner in your life

to abuse and to adore?

Is it lovey dovey stuff,

Do you need a bit of rough?

Get on your knees

Yeah turn down the love songs that you hear

'Cause you can't avoid the sentiment

That echoes in your ear

Saying love will stop the pain

Saying love will kill the fear

Do you believe

You must believe **

I spy with my little eye *註

Something beginning with (ah)

Got my back up

And now she's screaming

So I've got to turn the track up

Sit back and watch the royalties stack up

I know this girl she likes to switch teams

And I'm a fiend but I'm living for a love supreme

I spy with my little eye something with ~~~

(The Red Ribbon Project)

1. These microwave ovens are very popular. You won’t find them in other stores because they’re made especially for us. We import them from our factory in Mexico. They’re very well made and come with a three-year guarantee. Your receipt is your guarantee. One great thing is they only weigh ten kilos, so you can easily pick one up if you want to move it or clean it. They also have a really special feature you don’t find in other microwaves. They display popular recipes on this little screen in front. It has recipes for over 500 easy dishes.

2. This jacket is very strong. It’s made of nylon, so it’s very easy to take care of. It comes in six different colors. You don’t need to dry clean it. You can just throw it in the washing machine, then hang it up to dry And let me show you something really special about it. It’s reversible. It turns inside out so you can wear it either way. See? The color inside is different from the color outside. Isn’t that great? So you really have two jackets for the price of one.

3. These new flat screen TVs are very popular nowadays. They’re not from the United States. They’re made in South Korea. They’re quite light, so you can pick them up and move them around if you want to. And the special thing about these TVs is that you can also hang them on the wall. Now that’s something you can’t do with any other kind of TV! They come in three different sizes. They’re more expensive than a regular TV, but they’re very convenient, and they look great in your house or apartment.

4. These new watches are very popular with teenagers. They’re modern and made entirely of plastic so they’re very light. Each watch comes with six different bands, so you can change the band to match your clothes. Another thing is they’re very strong. They’re also waterproof. But what’s really special is that this is not only a watch. You can use it to send and receive e-mail messages.

1. A: What do you think of this jacket?

B: The style’s okay, I guess. How much is it?

A: It’s $40.

B: Wow! That’s really cheap. What colors does it come in?

A: Looks like they have it in black, gray, red, and brown.

B: I like those colors—especially the red one. Try it on.

A: Okay. Well, how do I look?

B: I don’t know. It’s not exactly your size.

A: Really? Do you think I should buy it, anyway?

B: No, don’t get it. It’s too big.

2. A: How about this lamp?

B: It’s ... unusual.

A: You mean, you don’t like the style.

B: Not really. And look at that price. $160!

A: Is that bad?

B: Well, it sounds pretty expensive to me.

A: What about the color?

B: Actually, the color is perfect. It goes perfectly with everything in the room. And the size is just right, too. But it’s very expensive.

A: We could put it on the credit card.

B: That’s true, I guess. Let’s just buy it and go home.

3. A: I have to get my sister a birthday present. What do you think about this watch?

B: It’s really cute. I love the style.

A: It only comes with a black or brown band, though.

B: Yeah. I’d prefer some brighter colors. Brown is so-so. How much is it?

A: $ 69.95.

B: It’s okay, I guess.

A: What about the size?

B: It’s great! She’ll love it. Just get it!

A: Okay.

4. A: Look at this sofa. What do you think?

B: Oh, I’m not sure I like the style. It’s too heavy looking.

A: Is it comfortable? Try it.

B: Mmm. It’s really comfortable. And I’d like to have something this size. Our old sofa is way too small. This size is perfect.

A: What do you think of the color?

B: Well, green isn’t my favorite color, but it’s better than that awful brown one we have now. It’s okay, I guess.

A: How much is it?

B: Oh, no! It’s $999! That’s really too expensive. We can’t afford it right now.

A: I know. Why don’t we wait ‘til next month for their mid-year sale? It might be cheaper then.

B: Hey, that’s a good idea.

我最先看到的是"Sometimes When We Touch" 這首,
"Sometimes When We Touch"是1977年由Dan Hill所發的單曲,

Sam Cooke

Sometimes When We Touch  by Dan Hill

You ask me if I love you

And I choke on my reply

I'd rather hurt you honestly

Than mislead you with a lie

And who am I to judge you

On what you say or do?

I'm only just beginning to see the real you

**And sometimes when we touch

The honesty's too much

And I have to close my eyes and hide

I wanna hold you til I die

Til we both break down and cry

I wanna hold you till the fear in me subsides

Romance and all its strategy

Leaves me battling with my pride

But through the insecurity

Some tenderness survives

I'm just another writer

Still trapped within my truth

A hesitant prize fighter

Still trapped within my youth**

At times I'd like to break you

And drive you to your knees

At times I'd like to break through

And hold you endlessly

At times I understand you

And I know how hard you've tried

I've watched while love commands you

And I've watched love pass you by

At times I think we're drifters

Still searching for a friend

A brother or a sister

But then the passion flares again**

Brief Bio of Dan Hill

(I'm too tird to translate it right now.

Probably I'd do it tomorrow.)

Dan Hill was born in Toronto in 1954 to American Parents

who, as an interracial couple, moved to Canada to escape

the twin scourges of Racism and McCarthyism. They also

believed that Canada provided a better environment to

raise their family.

Dan began writing songs at age 14 and was playing professionally

in small gatherings and coffee houses by the time he reached 17.

Two years later he signed to GRT Records in Canada and so began

his quick rise to fame. It was the 1977 Longer Fuse (1977) and the single

"Sometimes When We Touch "that sealed Dan's international success.

It not only gave him his third Canadian Gold album,

it also won over the U.S. audience.

"Sometimes When we Touch" also gave Dan his first co-writing experience,

in this case with the highly talented and respected Barry Mann.

"We were brought together in almost blind date fashion."

Dan was named Top New Male Vocalist in both Cashbox and Record World:

won Juno awards for Composer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year.

and was nominated for a Grammy in 1977.

Dan's songwriting can be heard on:
