You are viewing lyrics of WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T GO HOME?

by JON BON JOVI from the album HAVE A NICE DAY

Bon Jovi

Jennifer Nettles

I spent 20 years trying to get out of this place

I was lookin' for something I couldn't replace

I was runnin' away from the only thing I've ever known

And like a blind dog without a bone

I was a gypsyu lost in the twilight zone

I hijacked a rainbow and crashed into a pot of gold

I've been there, done that, I ain't lookin' that

The seeds I've sown, saving dimes, spending too much time on the telephone

Who says you can't go home...

Who says you can't go home

There's only one place that call me one of their own

Just a hometown boy, born a rolling-stone, who says you can't go home

Who says you can't go back, been around all around the world and

that's a matter of fact

There's only one place left I want to go, who says you can't go home

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright, it's alright...

I went as far as I could, I tried to find a new face

There isn't one of these lines that I would erase

I left a million mile of memories on that road

And every step I take I know that I'm not alone

You take the home from the boy, but not the boy from his home

These are my streets, the only life I've ever known,

who says you can't go home

Who says you can't go home

There's only one place that call me one of their own

Just a hometown boy, born a rolling-stone, who says you can't go home

Who says you can't go back, been around all around the world and

that's a matter of fact

There's only one place left I want to go, who says you can't go home

[Guitar Solo]

It doesn't matter where you are, doesn't matter where you go

If it's a million miles aways or just a mile up the road

Take it in, take it with you when you go, who says you can't go home

Who says you can't go back, been around all around the world and

that's a matter of fact

There's only one place left I want to go, who says you can't go home

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright, it's alright...

Who says you can't go home

Health and Health Insurance in Germany

Hsiao-yun Kleber-Chang/tr. by Paul Frank

Universal health insurance is a valuable but little appreciated public service wherever it exists in the world. Does Germany's century of experience with universal health coverage give people in Taiwan cause for optimism or concern?

When I arrived in Germany 20 years ago, what I found hardest to get used to my university's requirement that everyone have health insurance. Without a document proving that you had health insurance, you could not even register. The monthly premium of DM68 (about NT$1200 in those days) was no small sum for an impoverished student like me.

Student health premiums were very reasonable compared to what most Germans had to pay, which was seven or eight times more. When I went abroad after graduating from college I had no experience of any sort of public health and labor insurance system, because in those days Taiwan still had no national health insurance program. I had always been in the best of health, and other than an occasional visit to the dentist, I had almost no contact with medical doctors and hospitals. I therefore considered my insurance payments a complete waste. I resented the fact that my insurance company was subsidizing a complete stranger's healthcare with my money.

不討好  little appreciated

[Lyrics]

She said I feel stranded

And I can't tell anymore

If I'm coming or I'm going

It's not how I planned it

I got a key to the door

But I just won't know...

I know I know I know

Part of me says let it go

And life happens for a reason

I don't I don't I don't

Cause it never worked before

But this time, this time

I'm gonna try anything to just feel better

Tell me what to do

You know I can't see through the haze around me

And I'll do anything to just feel better

And I can't find my way

God, I need a change

Yeah and I'll do anything to just feel better

Any little thing to just feel better

She said I need you to hold me

I'm a little far from the shore

And I'm afraid of sinking

You're the only one who knows me

And who doesn't ignore

That my soul is weeping

I know I know I know

Part of me says let it go

Everything must have a season

Round and round it goes

Every days the one before

But this time, this time

I'm gonna try anything to just feel better

Tell me what to do

You know I can't see through the haze around me

And I'll do anything to just feel better

I can't find my way

God, I need a change

And I'll do anything to just feel better

Any little thing to just feel better

I'm tryin' to holding on

To all the things I ever leave behind, yeah

It's me again you know yeah

I think I need a little help this time

Yeah....

I'm gonna try anything to just feel better

Tell me what to do

You know I can't see through the haze around me

And I'll do anything to just feel better

I can't find my way

God, I need a change

And I'll do anything to just feel better

I never understood before

I never knew what love was for

My heart was broke, my head was sore

What a feeling

Tied up in ancient history

I didnt believe in destiny

I look up you're standing next to me

What a feeling

What a feeling in my soul

Love burns brighter than sunshine

Brighter than sunshine

Let the rain fall, i don't care

I'm yours and suddenly you're mine

Suddenly you're mine

And it's brighter than sunshine

I never saw it happening

I'd given up and given in

I just couldn't take the hurt again

What a feeling

I didn't have the strength to fight

Suddenly you seemed so right

Me and you

What a feeling

What a feeling in my soul

Love burns brighter than sunshine

It's brighter than sunshine

Let the rain fall, I don't care

I'm yours and suddenly you're mine

Suddenly you're mine

It's brighter than the sun

It's brighter than the sun

It's brighter than the sun, sun, shine.

Love will remain a mystery

But give me your hand and you will see

Your heart is keeping time with me

What a feeling in my soul

Love burns brighter than sunshine

It's brighter than sunshine

Let the rain fall, I don't care

I'm yours and suddenly you're mine

Suddenly you're mine

[Come here]

[You know they say life is short]

[They say you wake up one day]

[On that day]

[All your dreams]

[Everything you wished for and you wanted]

[Are gone]

[Just like that]

[People]

[People get old and]

[You know things change and]

[Situations change and]

[What I want is I just]

[I want this moment right now this day and]

[My feelings for you the way you look right now]

[The way I look at you]

[I just want this to last forever]

[You know]

"Oh I know"

"No mattter what we have always had this and have each other"

"And nothing gonna change that"

"But I just want you know"

"No matter what you always have somebody here for you"

"I'm always here"

"I am never gonna leave you"

"I am never gonna leave you"

"I love you"

[I know]

[I know]

"Don't ever leave me"

[I won't]

"Don't ever leave me"

[I won't]

[I won't]

Summer has come and passed

The innocent can never last

wake me up when september ends

like my fathers come to pass

seven years has gone so fast

wake me up when september ends

here comes the rain again

falling from the stars

drenched in my pain again

becoming who we are

as my memory rests

but never forgets what I lost

wake me up when september ends

summer has come and passed

the innocent can never last

wake me up when september ends

"Steven"

"Tell me you didn't"

[Didn't what]

"Tell me u didn't do it"

[Do what]

"Tell me u didn't do it"

"Please please please"

"Tell me u didn't do it"

"Oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god"

"Tell me u didn't"

"Please please please"

[Sorry I wanted to tell you]

"I love you so much"

[I love u too]

"No"

[Stop stop stop]

[Just listen]

"How can you do this to me"

"How can you do this"

"Oh my god oh my god"

[Well I thought people would understand]

[Why don't you understand]

[I did it for us]

[I did it for us]

[This is supposed to make it easier]

[I thought you would be proud of me]

[I thought at least of people you would understand why I did this]

"Oh my god oh my god"

Summer has come and passed

The innocent can never last

wake me up when september ends

ring out the bells again

like we did when spring began

wake me up when september ends

here comes the rain again

falling from the stars

drenched in my pain again

becoming who we are

as my memory rests

but never forgets what I lost

wake me up when september ends

Summer has come and passed

The innocent can never last

wake me up when september ends

like my father's come to pass

twenty years has gone so fast

wake me up when september ends

wake me up when september ends

wake me up when september ends

" I just want you know"

"No matter what you always have somebody here for you"

"I am never gonna leave you"

1.

I was a big athlete in high school. All I did was swimming, swimming, and more swimming! But I work now, and I never go swimming. I know that I should exercise more, but I’m just too lazy. Jogging? That’s way too much work, and it really makes my knees hurt. A lot of people I know are into bicycling, but I don’t have a bike. I guess there’s tennis, though. My wife loves it, and wants to teach me how to play I’d like to play I think.

2.

After my husband got sick last year, the doctor told him to lose 20 kilos. Since then, I’ve been trying to help him lose the weight by exercising with him. There isn’t much we can do together, though. We sometimes jog in the morning, but when he works late, he doesn’t want to wake up early. Our community center has an aerobics class in the evening, but he won’t go. He says it’s just for women, so neither of us does that. He wanted to try weightlifting, but the doctor said it was too dangerous. So, now I’m thinking about getting him golf lessons—for both of us, actually. The walking might be good exercise, and it might even be a little romantic, too!

3.

I may be retired, but I stay very active. I play tennis with my daughters every weekend, and I go golfing every day I used to lift weights, too—and I’m talking about heavy weights. But I had to stop recently because I had to have an operation on my back. Now I’m really worried that I’ll have to stop playing tennis and golf, too. I don’t really have a lot of hobbies or interests besides sports, so I really need to keep doing them. The doctor said swimming would help my back improve, so maybe I’ll try that.

4.

I guess I really need to get some exercise outside, in nature. Right now, I exercise all the time, but it’s always indoors. I lift weights at an indoor gym, and I go swimming every weekend at an indoor pool. I even go jogging on an indoor track! I was watching TV last night when a bicycling competition came on. Now, I’m totally excited about bicycle racing! I would really love to try it.

1.

I used to lift weights, but I didn’t really enjoy it. So that’s when I started swimming. Now I do it about twice a week. It’s much more fun. I go to a nice pool near my office. It’s never too crowded, which is great. There are friendly people who go there, so it’s a good place to meet people.

2.

I go out every morning. It’s a great way to start the day. It’s more interesting than exercising at home like I used to. That was really boring. I go to a beach near my house. It’s lovely in the early morning. There’s hardly anyone there and you can listen to the ocean as you do it.

3.

I used to play both tennis and volleyball. But I play mainly volleyball now. I think it’s a lot more fun. I thought tennis was very tiring. It was also difficult to find a partner, and the courts were always crowded, too. With volleyball, I have no trouble finding somewhere to play.

4.

I used to take long walks every day, but it got boring. I wanted something more exciting, so that’s when I took up rollerblading. It’s really fun! But, it’s not as easy as it looks. It took me a long time to learn how to do it. I fell a lot at the beginning. The great thing is you can do it almost anywhere. My friends think I’m kind of strange because none of them do it, but I love it.

5.

I finally bought myself a bicycle. It’s a great way to keep fit. I think it’s better than going to a health club. It took me a long time to learn to ride it in traffic. I nearly fell off a couple of times. I don’t often go on busy streets because that can be dangerous, but there are plenty of places where I can ride near where I live. I use it to get to work sometimes, but only if the weather is nice.

6.

I used to go to aerobics class, but I found it pretty silly—all that jumping around. So that’s when I decided to take golf lessons. It can be pretty expensive because you have to buy all your equipment and club fees are high. People think it’s very easy, but it’s not. It’s also good exercise because you have to walk a lot.

A BB gun is a pneumatic gun (氣槍) usually powered by

compressed gas(高壓的氣體), electric revolution(電子迴路),

or a spring(彈簧). Most BB guns are shaped like normal guns

but can look like toys. Some have reservoirs(彈匣) to store

ammunition (子彈), some are breechloaders(後面上膛), and

others are muzzleloaders (前面上膛).

The name of the gun refers to the original ammunition it used,

which came from the lead shot(彈藥) used in a shotgun shell(彈殼).

"BB" (0.18 inch) was the size between "B" and "BBB";

modern rounds (子彈) are made of non-toxic steel, plastic, or

copper(銅), and are usually .177 caliber(口徑)(=4.5 mm).

BB is often mistaken to stand for "ball bearing", which BB ammunition

resembles(相似), but there is little to suggest that this connection is

intentional.
